Before we get to the nitty-gritty of this eBook, I would like to say a special Thank You to my mentors who gave me the courage to continue my journey even though I still have a long way to go. One of the things they taught me is to check my mindset. It doesn't matter how much money I make, if I don't manage my internal issues and keep my mindset right, I will always question if I deserve success. As a result, I will never learn how to KEEP money, KEEP pushing, and KEEP helping the people God put in front of me.

Owning your own business is extremely competitive and anyone who wants to be recognized in the business world must know the ins and outs of the industry. Knowing how to sell is so significant that it can transform your business. The problem is that a lot of people are afraid of selling. The truth is, I too feared selling. When I started selling, it was so bad that I would sweat, get nervous, and stumble. It was horrible. The simple thought of approaching someone, whether online or offline, was paralyzing for me.

Maybe before starting your business, you scrolled one too many social media pages and thought, “I can do that.” The problem is, social media posts are only part of the story and while it may look wonderful on the surface, there is a lot that goes into running a business. You can see the potential profit and highlights or the wonderful benefits of being a business owner but when the realities of day-to-day duties set in, you will understand that it’s far from being glamorous.
With that said, starting your own business is easier said than done. So let me ask you “Why are you starting your business?” The “Why” is the core of your business and please do not say it is money for that is a recipe for disaster, frustration, and for you to be upset and broke. After mastering your why, the next thing to do while on this journey, is to start with one thing, master it, and as your audience grows invest in yourself and scale your business to the next level.
In all this, you must never forget to put in the work. Don’t be deceived and don’t deceive yourself into thinking that you can achieve real success in your business without doing the work necessary for it to happen. It doesn't work like that.

This may sound backwards but even if you don’t have a product or service to sell start building your audience.
A common mistake among innovators and business owners is that they build a product or service before looking for a market for it instead of the other way round. After you’ve identified the problem your product or service is providing a solution for, the next thing is to grow a list of the people who want this solution that you are offering.
You will have far more success in your business whether it’s a B2B, retail, or auto sales business, if you take your time to find the target audience that is right for your product instead of wasting your time, energy, and resources on prospects who will end up being poor fits.
Identify what you will sell and then choose a format, whether its ebooks, masterclasses/webinar, or courses and move on.
The next logical question is, “What will I sell to this audience list that I have grown?” There are a billion and one products to sell in the online space but because it’s a competitive space, you cannot just sell everything.
If you wish to make money, then your best shot is to stand out. And how can you do that? You must identify a niche market where your product will stand out, then go on to milk the market. If you want to sell eBooks, you would be doing so against established sellers but if you decide to narrow it down to only cookbooks, this allows a specific audience, reduces the competition, and increases your chances of making money.
Do your due diligence about your product/service and its target market
Once you have established what you want to sell and in what format, your next move is to conduct a high-end market research about your product so you can figure out if your target audience will buy what you have to offer—and if so, how much they will be willing to pay for it.
When you educate yourself about your product's market, it becomes easier to correctly price them. How? When you understand the value, your product is providing to the market and why it’s different from those of your competitors, then you can price it right. Get psychological and analytical about this.
Make sure your product is priced right. Don't make the mistake of thinking that because your price is lower than those of your competitors, it will automatically translate to better sales for you. People will choose to pay a premium for a product whose quality they are OK with while turning down the one they feel is overpriced. Find the balance so you can price your product right.
Also, conduct surveys, both formally and informally, to know people's reactions to your product. Also, don’t forget to offer a bonus, guarantee, and tiered pricing. Also, create bundles, and provide ongoing support. Lastly, keep your expenses in mind and don’t be afraid to raise the price if needed.
Stay flexible. Whether you are launching a new product or improving an old one, understand that you're on a learning path so your 'perfect plan' may need some tweaking or a complete makeover. Have this at the back of your mind.

Selling can come naturally but if you want to be a phenomenal salesperson so you can close every sale you need to do whatever it takes to learn how to be that great salesperson! I think the best person to learn from is a car salesperson. If they can sell something for thousands of dollars, they can surely help you sell something for five dollars or more.
Here are some tricks using the acronym F.A.I.T.H. that I promised you at the beginning of this eBook.
🍃Focus: Your primary goal is to sell your product, but in this attempt don’t make the mistake of overcomplicating things just to sound superior. Focus on sharing the value of your product with the average person. Stop overselling and do less talking than the other person. Let your audience know the essence of your product and forget about any unnecessary embellishment which may end up obtruding the real message that you’re trying to get across.
🍃Attitude: Understand that buyers are not only buying a product, but they’re also buying the person behind the product. So, your attitude matters when you present your product to them. Be sure to present what they want to buy with a cheerful outlook. Listen and pay attention to what they’re saying.
🍃Integrity: Let them know what you have to offer and if it’s something similar to what they want, tell them. Don’t try to pull a wool over their eyes. Don’t promise them a 3-day delivery date when you know it will take 5 days. Also, don’t tell them your product can solve four problems when it can only solve two.
🍃Trust: Know that before anyone can allow you to take their hard-earned money in exchange for your product, they must trust you or your product to a reasonable extent. This is one of the reasons people avoid new products from unknown producers. You can help build their trust by finding out what their objections or questions are and do your best to answer them.
🍃Honesty: It’s good to have vast knowledge about the product you’re presenting to the people but far better to make sure you’re presenting them with the right information. Don’t exaggerate the solution provided by your product. Don’t lie to them. If they find out that you’re lying, it will be difficult to convince them to buy from you ever again. Answer their questions honestly and close the sale.
